Spirits tastings for all levels of connoisseur.


Our Spirits classes offer courses for all levels. We have classes for connoisseurs, and others for beginners who are simply curious to learn more. Led by our team of in-house spirits experts. You will walk away with both a pronounced appreciation for Whiskey, Tequila, Mezcal, Rum, Brandy, and Wine and a light skip in your step after one of these fun and dynamic courses.

All classes are held upstairs in our private tasting room. The space has been designed specifically for these classes and all details have been considered. A long 16’ black walnut tasting table, wireless microphone, projection screen, sound-proof curtains and a separate PA system. Tastings start on time, so please arrive early to avoid any interruption.

PAYMENT, REFUND, AND TICKET TRANSFERRAL POLICIES
To register for any class at The Flatiron Room, payment in full is required at the time of registration. Credit may be issued for a future class, you can also transfer your ticket to a third person by notifying us in writing at least 7 days prior to class date by emailing nicole@goodnightgroup.nyc. In case you want to transfer your space in the class to a third person, include the name of your substitute. Please note: we do not issue refunds.

We’re excited to share a dram together! If you purchase a ticket and would like to stay for dinner with us after your class, we recommend you to go to  Opentable.com to make a reservation in advance.

Our most popular class to date. This class gives you an overview of the various styles of whiskey including Bourbon, Rye, Scotch, Irish and other international marks. You will nose, taste, and evaluate a diverse selection of whiskey.

Jordan Zimmerman, former Murray’s Cheese Education Manager, will expertly guide you through this mouthwatering pairing class, and you will learn how to pair fine Scotches with artisanal cheeses.

You will nose and taste the following selection:

    • Teeling’s Small Batch Irish Whiskey: Chèvre d’Argental
    • Mitcher’s Unblended American: Quadrello di Bufala
    • Dalmore 12yr: Stockinghall Cheddar
  • Jura 18yr: Bay Blue

AGAVE 101: TEQUILA & MEZCAL

Sunday, May 5th – 6:00pm

Agave-based spirits (Tequila & Mezcal) are complex by nature and often misunderstood. This class will shed light on the rich history, the various distillation methods and how to best enjoy it (spoiler alert: it’s not from a shot glass). After enjoying your welcome cocktail (tequila based, of course) you’ll sip and savor 3 tequilas and 3 mezcals under the watchful guidance of our spirits instructor. Expect to leave just a little bit happier, and with a new found appreciation of this wonderful spirit
